2008 Lights of Love and 5KJoin us December 5th from 5:00pm – 9:00pm at the Mueller Hangar, three blocks south of the Ronald McDonald House, for the newly expanded Lights of Love. This Austin Holiday tradition has outgrown the House, and this year we are excited to invite you to join us as we move down the street and expand our event in support of Central Texas families with critically ill and injured children. Sponsored by Central Texas Chevy Dealers, Freescale, Temple Inland and Fox 7, Lights of Love will feature the Biscuit Brothers, a children’s craft tent sponsored by Abrakadoodle, photos with Santa Claus and Ronald McDonald and the Westlake Madrigal Singers. You won’t want to miss the fun and entertainment as you buy a light in honor or memory of someone special and pick up your 2008 Lights of Love ornament. Bring a new toy and drop it off at our Blue Santa drop and make your holiday brighter by sharing the giving spirit.

McDonald’s Lights of Love 5K presented by Temple Inland. The first holiday run of the season, the Lights of Love 5K kicks off at 5:00PM, race at 7:30. Learn more about this new and fun way to enjoy the holiday season and help families staying at the House by visiting mcdonaldslightsoflove.org or You will run inside Austin’s greenest neighborhood along a lighted trail with hot chocolate stops along the way. You can’t beat this race for holiday excitement, fun, family friendly and healthy entertainment. Packet Pick-up is at RunTex on Riverside Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Friday 10:00 – 3:00 and then at the Mueller Hangar from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. We will look for you at the starting line!
