Services and ProgramsThe Ronald McDonald House of Austin provides temporary lodging and other supportive services seriously ill or injured children, who are being treated at an Austin area hospital, and their immediate family. Services include: Private Bedrooms — Up to 4 people may stay in a room in the House. All bedrooms have queen size beds and queen size pull-out sofas that sleep two individuals. All bedrooms have their own private bathroom as well. Wheel-chair accessible rooms are also available. Home-cooked Meals — Generous community groups provide meals that are served in the dining room. Residents may prepare their own food in the house or may choose from our well-stocked pantry. Transportation — Ronald McDonald House of Austin provides taxi cab vouchers. These are available to families without transportation and are available upon request. Laundry Facilities — Residents may take advantage of our laundry rooms located in the House. Activities for Patients and Siblings — In addition to inside and outside play areas, children may participate in crafts, games, movie nights and seasonal celebrations organized by the volunteers at the House. |
